4th of July Weekend

Just like last year, we decided to go out to Lake Billy Chinook for camping with the Deziels.  We can camp out, there are no fireworks (this is perfect for Bella), and we can utilize the boat a ton.  This was our first time camping with Lucia and I would say we were partly successful.  I think the biggest challenge for us was that it was in the 90s during the day and way too hot for her, and for us.  At night, she did great, a lot better then expected.  We were able to take the boat out a couple times, we swam a couple times, and we spent time at the campsite.  We will most likely wait until next summer to camp again though, just to be sure she is more ready.  By then, she can walk, she can stay outside longer, and she will have a more comfortable life vest for boating. So this summer, we will instead take lots of walks, go on picnics, and enjoy outdoor concerts and movies : )  This will be easier on all of us : )
