Weed Walk

This morning, Rafa, Bella, and I went on a Weed Walk with Hoyt Arboretum, which, lucky for us, is just a short mile away.  The event was sponsored through the Sylvan Highlands Neighborhood Association.  We learned about invasive non-native species, as well species identification.  And while it was an unseasonably cold and very wet walk, we learned a ton and are thankful that we have such great free community events to take part in.

Mom Graduates College

Rafa and I went to Tulsa last weekend to watch my Mom graduate with her Bachelor's Degree, although we almost didn't make it.  We were supposed to be there Friday evening, but our flight got canceled. We were rebooked on a red eye into Detroit and then into Tulsa where we then drove 2 hours to the ceremony.  We made it right at 2pm, thankfully.  We had to leave the next day, but in the end, we were so glad to be able to take part in this special day for Mom.  Congrats Mom!

Girls Beach Weekend, Lincoln City

A group of Marisa's friends invited me to their annual girls beach weekend.  It was a lovely weekend, the weather was just perfect, and it was nice to get some R&R with some pretty great gals.

NW 23rd

Liza and I went up to NW 23rd for Happy Hour.  I decided to head out a bit early to take photos.  Not my best photo day (with the exception of pretty Liza), but it was fun nonetheless...

Saturday Morning....I mean Saturday Afternoon

What lazy bones Rafa and Bella decided to do on a Saturday afternoon; lounge around and play XBOX!  If only Bella had real fingers, just imagine the damage!   I totally approved, but decided to go out to NW 23rd instead (next posting).
