Our Day

Sometimes the day starts with a little screen time (so mommy and daddy have any hope of getting ready!) :-)

Sometimes we can meet a friend for breakfast, baby Kennedy (Ashley and Addie too!)

And sometimes we even get in our exercise, tummy time!

Even after a rough night of little sleep, still so much joy and lots of cuddles to look forward to. Until tomorrow!

Beautiful Baby

Gabriel is 5 weeks young today. He's a big boy, very long, and I'm estimating 12 pounds already. He's a sweet guy, but sometimes he's so alert, he can go hours without sleeping. He hardly ever cries to nurse but he can really let you know when he's over tired. He is sleeping at night in his Moses basket for stretches of about 4 hours. He is getting very strong, holding his head up to learn about the world. He actually loves tummy time and sometimes falls asleep that way. He had his first bath a few days ago and loved it. We are getting out and about and having successful outings and some not so successful. The last photo is after a major scream fest during my dentist appointment. I was exhausted. No matter what I can't stop kissing him and studying him. Even Bella's taking part of the fun by playing guard dog ;-)We are balancing life as a family of 4 and trying to enjoy the moments, no matter how trying and exhausting they can be. We love our little family to bits!

First Real Bath

And he loved it! We've just been giving him sponge baths with no soap until today. He is now 4 weeks and 4 days young :-)

Date Night

Last night Rafa and I went to dinner with a bunch of friends for Valentines Day. Lucia was at our friends house and Gabriel slept soundly in his carrier next to us :-) We had steak and lobster and wine. It's hard to think about the logistics of getting out of the house with 2 littles but when we do and it works, I'm always proud that we tried and succeeded! The night went so well we decided to stop at Sesame Donuts by our house for treats for the whole family. Yum!

Snowed In!

Well that storm came out of nowhere! First it was to be a couple inches of snow, but two days in we had a foot and another day later, lots of ice. It was tough being stuck for 4 days with a newborn and a toddler, but we tried to make the most of it. We packed up the kids (Gabriel was in the moby inside my jacket), we went for walks and tried to sled, we ventured down the hill to Starbucks. But mostly Rafa spent time shoveling our way out and me watching and waiting for it all to melt. Tomorrow everything should be back to normal and I'll regain my sanity. I love the snow but not when we get stranded!
