Rafa Built In Bookshelf

About a year ago, Rafa started his built in book shelf for his study.  Since having a toddler, it has been hard to find time to finish, but now the project is complete.  Great job Rafa!

Weekend at the Mountain

Last weekend, the Deziels and us headed to the mountain for some snow!  While the weather was unseasonably warm, with little snow, we had a great time relaxing, eating, drinking, and going in the hot tub!  As always, hanging out with the Deziels was a lot of fun!

Stickers!

Deziels, + 1 :)

Poor Lucia!

Our Brasilian baby does not prefer the snow to the beach :)

No More Diaper Duck!

So two weeks ago, Lucia and I went to the Vancouver library. While there we picked up a potty training book called, No Diaper Duck. So for the following few days we read it. Lucia was running around saying "no diaper duck!" At school on that next Friday I asked Lucia's teachers what she could work on at school and they said she is ready for potty training. Ugh, but I'm not ready! So that weekend we did a lesser version of the three day stay at home no diaper no pants training. And believe it or not, Lucia did great! It took her time to actually go in the potty but each day got better, and since then she has hardly had any accidents with us even while out and about shopping, at restaurant, and even while we went away to the cabin this past weekend. She hasn't had any accidents at home since Sunday, and at school she is just working on the pooping. She has even had dry diapers during her naps. I'm so proud of her. She's even inspiring her friends when we go to visit!

Thought for the Day

Is It Wrong? Nah!

Last night, I woke up at 12:55am and could not go back to sleep for the life of me.  When that happens, it is clear to me that my mind is heavy.  I tossed and turned for literally hours.  And then I thought, "I am missing my Lucia".  So I went into her room and as soon as I approached her crib, her eyes opened up real big and she immediately reached up for me.  So I did the oh so wrong right thing, and brought her right back to bed with me.  I was asleep in minutes :)  Momma just need that little angel (monster aside) warm and soft and perfect in almost every way. She is my little slice of heaven.

Children's Museum Free Friday Night!

Lu and I went to the CM last night and had a blast! We hadn't visited here since she was a newly walking 11 month old. She explored pretty much everything, but really enjoyed the marketplace, the giant light bright, and the train set up. She is one of the littler kids that attend this free night so I have to be extra careful that she doesn't get pushed around too much, kids can be pretty rough sometimes! And you know, I have a sweet delicate flower on my hands, the monster was only temporary ;-)
