First Trip to the ER

On Saturday night just before midnight we woke to Lucia and a blood curdling scream. Rafa ran to the bedroom. I thought she had a nightmare but I didn't want to interfere. A few minutes go by and Lucia is still not comforted. Rafa came in and said she fell off the bed and onto her humidifier where the boiling water burned her arm. Her skin was bubbled and burned off :-( So I called her doctors, they had the Children's Hospital call us back to ask us questions. From there they told us to take her to the ER. So we got ready, drove there, and after 4 hours of being seen, reseen, cleaned up, bandaged up, and referred out, we were all ready to go. Lucia is currently on pain medication and we have a little process three times a day to keep her arm cleaned and rebandaged. She is the strongest, bravest and sweetest girl I know. After she fell and she was feeling better, she said, "I'll try again tomorrow". 

"I Don't Love You"

Well it happened. Lucia was reading me a book and I laid down next to her and put my arm around her back. She said, don't do that. I asked why. And she said because I don't love you. So I tickled her and squeezed her and told her I loved her anyways. We rolled around and laughed and played. I'm sure that wasn't the last time she'll say that but whenever she does, I'll just tickle her to pieces :-)

Halloween!

My company Halloween party was in full effect! Lucia had such a great time enjoying all of the activities. Thank you W+K! We followed that party with Trick or Treating out at the Deziels. Lucia is a pro, except that she was feeling a bit under the weather? as was I. Now there's lots of candy to enjoy :-)

Two and a Half Years - Pumpkin Patch!

We were lucky enough this year to go to the pumpkin patch twice! Once as a family and once with our sweet Max!  

Nah, we didn't need to brush our hair today!

Aunt Desi Visit September

Aunt Desi came to visit in September.  We decided to venture up to Seattle, it was a nice trip but very expensive!  The best part was riding the train up there.  I definitely want to do that again!  The rest of the trip was a little melancholy, for Aunt Desi's dog Elvis passed away while she was here.  Not every trip can be a great one and I wish she had been home to say her proper goodbyes.

Sunriver Spetember

Oh yes, back in September the Figueira's and the Roses took a trip to Sunriver.  I am waaaaay behind on my photos and blogging and I didn't even have time to edit the photos I did take.  From what I remember, LOL, it was a great trip!  The weather was perfect and the company superb.  We biked, swam, ate and spent time with our friends. We even crashed our bikes! We want to make Sunriver an annual trip for sure, so much fun :)
