Rafa the Hero

One thing we have learned the hard way is that our house is way too damn tall.  We can't do anything from the first floor up.  And when Rafa wants to do everything on his own, this is what happens.  Yikes!

La Naranja

The other day, when Becca was in town, we met up with Liza to grab a drink and quick snack at La Naranja.  The place is adorable with outside hammocks and sand between your toes. The food?  Eh, it was not my favorite for sure.  The Brasilian drink I had was delicious and one thing is for sure, it was a beautiful summer evening : )

Isaiah Mustafa - Old Spice Guy

Isaiah Mustafa from the Old Spice ads that W+K created and produced, was generous enough to let all of us W+K'ers take a photo with him.  He was a super nice guy : )

And if you are one of the last people on earth that haven't seen the senstation that is the Old Spice guy, take a look...

4th of July - Lake Billy Chinook

The Deziels, Lauren and Garett, and Rafa and I went to eastern Oregon to Lake Billy Chinook for a long weekend of camping and boating.  If it appears that we never left the boat, we pretty much didn't : )  It was such a great weekend, we are going back in September!

Drive out, it was about 5 hours from Portland...

Enjoying the lake...

My first attempt at Wakeboarding!  First thing?  Lessons.  From everyone.  All different : )

10 attempts later and this is as far as I got....and boy was I sore the next day.  Wowza!

Scuba fir the guys, that lasted 5 minutes!  It was cold and dark down there.  I guess the tropics are preferred : )

Birthday Wine Tasting

Marisa and I decided to have a joint Wine Tasting Birthday Party.  So we rented a 12 person van, loaded up our friends, and headed out for the day.  It was a perfect day filled with sunshine, lots of laughs, and of course lovely wine and food!

A World Cup End...

Last Friday, hopes were soaring high, sun was out in full blast, and friends were all around.  But sadly, USA lost 1-2 to Ghana and that was the end of their World Cup dream for 2010.  But, nonetheless, our tried and true World Cup friends Andrew and Amy were there with us in full support.  But the bad news continued and sadly the next morning, England lost to Germany 1-4.  It was a bit rough for Andrew and I both!  And then, just a few days later, Brasil lost to the Netherlands 1-2.  It was a rough World Cup for all of us, but like Rafa says, 31 hearts get broken and only 1 team wins.  Until 2014 when the WC comes to Brasil, the countdown is on : )

Boating Afternoon

About a week ago, Rafa, Bella, and I headed out on the boat after work.  We found Willamette Falls and a new place for Bella to get down and dirty : )
