Babies

So what are the latest happenings?!?!?

Let's start with little Gster G.  At 14 months, he is the sweetest, calmest, plumpest little guy I know. He is absolutely my calm place.  He plays peak a boo with his smile, shyly looking away.  He talks a ton, all babble, but talking nonetheless.  He loves food and complains when we take his food away, even if he is full :)  He studies everything, watches and learns.  He can already stack cups by size within one another, and has been doing that for a couple months already.  He is enjoying more and more reading as we incorporated that in place of his nighttime bottle.  He is completely weaned from the bottle and is now at one nap per day.  He is still very insecure about trying to walk.  He will cruise everywhere and he will let us hold his and and walk with him, but as soon as you try and remove one of your hands, he cries. Rascal.  He can scale a flight of stairs though, no problem!  His relationship with Lucia is mixed.  He thinks she is the funniest thing ever, most times.  But if she tries to hug him, kiss him, or get close he complains.  Poor Lucia, she says " I am just trying to love him!".  But as we know, Lucia doesn't really understand personal space and tries to hug G way more often then he likes :)

Lucia Kate!  Well at almost 4 she is all about her birthday party planning, she requested a rainbow gymnastics party so we are in the stages of prepping for that.  She keeps asking...when is my birthday, when is my party, when is my 4 year old doctor appt.  Anything about birthdays and she blossoms!  Lucia is a busy and active 4 year old.  Sometimes I have a really hard time keeping up with her even at my energy level.  She is definitely my daughter, always planning, thinking ahead, organizing her friends and family.  With that energy, she is also the light of lives.  Her enthusiasm for life, her silliness, the way she colors in rainbow, is such a pleasure to be around.  She brings sunshine wherever she goes.  I love that about her.  She wears undies on her head, shows us her boom boom, tells jokes.  All to keep things lite.  She is smart.  Everything you teach her she remembers, she is much like Rafa in that way.  She has a thirst for learning as well.  The combination will be incredible as she gets older.

We are currently getting ready to unleash the surprise that we are taking Lu to Disneyland for her 4th birthday.  We keep telling her she has to be 40 inches (because that's when she can ride most of the rides) and we measure every day saying welp, you are almost there at 39 and 3/4s.  We will go no matter what but I can't wait to give her travel Disney backpack and measure her and tell her she is 40 inches!

Rafa is working a lot, but not during family time.  I have been busy too but have a great home/work balance.  We are really enjoying the time now as G is old enough to be really interactive, is sleeping great, and Lucia is crawling out of the threenager stage, slowly :)  We are looking forward to more time together and with friends especially as the weather gets nicer and nicer!
