Days Like These...

It is days like these that I miss being home with Lucia. We walked to the zoo, spent our morning there with friends just enjoying the fresh air and being together. I love our time baby girl, you are certianly one of the best.

Sunriver!

This past weekend, Rafa, Lucia and I went to Sunriver with friends.  We had never been there before, and let me tell you, it was awesome!  I loved the trails for bike riding, the deers all over, and the lovely weather.  We had a nice relaxing time with swimming, biking,  hot tubbing, and lots of eating and drinking!  Thanks everyone for the great weekend.  We will definitely be back next year!

Sylvan Highlands Movie in the Park

Last Friday we joined the neighborhood for the desert mixer/movie in the park.  It has been awhile since we have done anything with the neighborhood, so it was great to see everyone.  We had some popcorn, took a tree tour, and then we left before the movie because it was already way past Lucia's bedtime.  Plus it was pretty darn cold outside!  All and all a nice evening.

So the food making has begun!  While cooking for
myself is the complete pits, I love cooking for Lucia.  While it is pretty basic stuff, of course, I am getting the hang of it.  I steam and puree in the Beaba, I pour into ice cube trays, freeze, convert into freezer bags, and voila, 1 oz portion sizes for the little miss.  So far she has had sweet potatoes, apples and carrots.  Next, we will try a green veggie like spinach or peas. Not sure if those will go over as well as the sweet stuff!  To the right, our big girl in the upright position of her chair.  And below, her three bags of food thus far.

Sitting Up!

So as most of you, our sweet Lucia is sitting up.  So much that now she can sit up pretty much anywhere.  She is loving this new life (she didn't want to bother wasting time laying down) and now it is more convenient for Rafa and I too.  So far, 5 months rocks!  Our Lucia is happy, healthy, sleeping, doing well in school, and eating a ton!
