Oaks Park

This year, Rafa's company picnic was at Oaks Amusement Park.  Neither Rafa and I are big fans of rides, but we managed a few spinny ones that seemed to be ok.

SHNA Potluck and Movie!

A couple weeks ago, Rafa and I went to our neighborhood potluck and movie in the park.  It was nice summer evening with great food, nice company, and a adorable movie.

The Cove

There are so many atrocities that occur against animals by humans.  Even if you aren't some righteous animal activist, this documentary will move you to despair, shock, anger, and complete sadness to where you will be compelled to do something.  Rafa and I were left to tears.  Watch the documentary and then spread the word.  This has to stop.

Just Another Day...

And a trip to Home Depot.  Next project?  Repaint over the orange in the formal living area with a sandy beige and repaint some of the furniture espresso brown.  Rafa is also going to build a long tall table for one of the walls to hold lots of picture frames : )  Accent color will be various shades of teal and blues.  I promised myself we would never paint again, who was I kidding!

Dinner With Family

Even when they are so far away, we can always have dinner with family. Frame a couple of happy moments, add them to the dining room table, and voila...dinner with family...always  : )

Victoria BC

Becca came up from San Diego for my birthday, and we decided to take a road trip up to Victoria BC.  It took us about 4.5 hours plus a ferry ride, and then we were in one of the most beautiful places ever.  It was such a pristine and bright place right along the water.  The flowers were in bloom everywhere, people were so chill, and the food was amazing.

On Saturday, we rented mopeds and drove them all day!  It was a great idea and lots of fun!

Rafa the Hero

One thing we have learned the hard way is that our house is way too damn tall.  We can't do anything from the first floor up.  And when Rafa wants to do everything on his own, this is what happens.  Yikes!
