6 Month Check Up

And about a month overdue post! Lucia is getting big, almost 19 pounds and I think 25 inches long. She is still in the 75-90% for all of her stats. She handled her FOUR shots like a champ while momma cried :-( Doc said she is as perfect as can be and doing everything she should be. She gave us the go ahead to give yogurt, meats and beans. So since the appointment we have tried yogurt and chicken that I pureed and she loves both. Surprise surprise :-). This weekend I'll make black beans and see how that goes. I mean we will be in Brasil in less than a month so she has to get ready!

7 Months!

Fondue!

We had a delicious Fondue night with Marisa and Derrick. We went all out with cheese, veggies, bread, meat, fish, shrimp and even a chocolate fondue dessert with brownies, strawberries, bananas and cheesecake. What an indulgence! At the end we sang to Rafa who will be 36 this week. Happy Birthday Rafa!

Future Gold Medalist :-)

Lucia showed a love for water since she was 5 weeks young. While on maternity leave I would take her once or twice a week to a salt water pool and then to a chlorine pool. So as soon as she was old enough, we signed her up for swim lessons. And boy does she love it! She splashes, gets dunked, and never cries. This girl was born to swim! I can't wait until we go to Brasil at the end of the year so she can swim everyday and explore the beach and ocean!

WK Halloween

Every year, the company I work for, W+K, puts on a kick ass party for all the chillins.  And each year, I have enjoyed walking around to all of the decorated departments and seeing all of the cute kids dressed up.  This year, it was even more fun being on the parent side of it.  And I am sure next year will be even better.  Thanks W+K for keeping family in mind!
